Amazon KDP lets you publish a book without paying a printer in advance — Amazon prints each copy when it is ordered and takes the printing cost out of your royalty. What that royalty actually comes to depends on your list price, your page count, your ink choice and the marketplace, and almost every number circulating online about it is out of date. These three lessons take one book concept from classification and economics, through interior and cover specifications, to a complete publish-ready draft.
